Cheshire Grandfather Clocks is the result of Andrew Wilson’s life long passion for Grandfather Clocks.
So where did the company name come from. Well although the correct name for these clocks is of course Longcase Clocks, they have become so affectionately known as grandfather clocks that the term Grandfather Clocks was adopted. Cheshire of course speaks for itself being one of the most beautiful English counties located right in the heart of rural North West Britain, but close to the major motorway network. A trip to this beautiful part of the countryside it well worthwhile with the added benefit of being able to *view one of the largest and finest stocks of Longcase Clocks in the country.
If asked why these great clocks are admired and loved by so many people then the answer is simple, ‘In the face you have a work of art, in the case a piece of superb cabinet making and in the movement, a precision piece of engineering. Most of all they lend an air of antiquity to any room’.
Cheshire Grandfather Clocks specialise in the finest quality and unusual Longcase Clocks from all over the country and also carry a large stock of other clocks and barometers.
With regard to the clocks themselves our prime aim is to provide a stock of fine quality original clocks which have been professionally restored. As such only the most skilful, experienced, specialist craftsmen and craftswomen work on Cheshire Grandfather Clocks. These individuals are dedicated and passionate about carrying out the restoration on the cases, movements and dials; consequently all work is carried out to the highest standards. Their specialist skills ensure that the original character and intrinsic beauty of the whole piece is returned without detracting from its age.
